Modoc Resource Conservation District (MRCD) is serving Modoc County to support natural resource conservation efforts. MRCD is focused on establishing and maintaining working relationships with local agencies, producers and landowners to assist in maintaining a sustainable and healthy landscape for generations to come. 

Modoc RCD’s mission is fourfold:

• Educate landowners and the general public about the importance of land stewardship and sustainable management practices.
• Facilitate conservation through sound management of our natural resources.
• Foster partnerships and collaborations that integrate long-term cultural, economic and environmental health within our county and community.
• Implement projects that benefit conservation for sustainable land management in our community to sustain local agriculture, wildlife, forests, watersheds, and rangelands.
